FREE REPORT
THE HOMEOWNER’S CHECKLIST FOR AVOIDING FORECLOSURE

Thank you for downloading this free report from my website.  I am available to assist you with any questions about short sales or foreclosures.

The best way to avoid foreclosure is to make your mortgage payment the first bill that you pay each month.  However, that is not always possible.  The following pages provide general suggestions and ideas as to how you can prepare for and work through this tough situation.

Before Trouble Starts

Save all your records regarding your home in a file in a safe place.

Ø      Purchase and sale agreement

Ø      Mortgage application

Ø      Closing documents

Ø      Property tax bills

Ø      Property insurance information

Ø      Letters you receive from the bank

Ø      Any correspondence you send or mail to your bank

Use checks or money orders to pay your bills.

Ø      Do not send cash

Ø      Do not use credit cards, if possible

Ø      Keep a record of all payments, dates of payments, and the check number

Ø      Correct errors quickly

Pay high priority bills first.

Ø      Food

Ø      Mortgage

Ø      Utilities
